Chapter 21, Communism in Russia and China

When I think of communism I think of when we leadership and not very American.   As we read history it actually works for some countries such as Russia and China.  Sure it's hard to please everybody but for the most part the people on the boat countries work well with that type of leadership.
The thought of living without private property works for almost 1/3 of the world. There is social equality and collective living.
This chapter includes other countries like Vietnam and Cambodia.  After WWII communist parties played a role in Greece, France and Italy.
All of the revolutions had a lot in common.  French, Russia and China had the same idea to get updated in the time.  They all wanted to modernize they country with better infrastructure to better the people.
Karl Marx has a few comments about communism, they it would be more successful in countries that are more establish , developed and social equality.  This did not quite hold true to Russia and China. Many parts of both countries when very under developed and not equally social.

Chapter 1 - First Farmer Humans were giving the guidance to subdue the earth.  In time some decided to explore, wonder and claim new land for ourselves. I like to wonder and discover new stuff.  It started off in the area of what we know as Africa and went to the Middle East.  Many years later we did pretty much cover the entire earth which was livable. Place like Antarctica have land but why too much cold to survive. Along the travel we found and learned so many things such as new plants to eat and animals to hunt. This brings us to the first human societies which were in the range of 25-50 people. We probably discovered that we are strong and more efficient working as a team than solo.  At the time men and women were equal. The men did most of the hunting and fishing while the women did most of the food gathering. Commonalities and Variations Throughout the world there are so many things in common. Everyone has to eat. During this time people gathered, hunted and fished to sustain life. America was behind Asia and Africa when it came to domesticating animals. Animals used to work the farm as well as combat. I first heard of the Nubian civilization today. To read about how they conquered Egypt between 300-100 B.C.E. and the city of Meroë made its mark on the map. The Queen's power and the power of the women was impressive. They use their wealth to strengthen the military with iron weapons.
