Oct 5 Chapter 5

In China, the landlord class and peasants was not a surprise yet is still disturbing.  I was thinking how some peoples morals are different. How is it that the rich get rich and the poor stay poor.  Some thinks it education with I agree somewhat. When the rich avoid paying taxes and put the burden on the peasants is just wrong, but it happens.  The peasants I like to refer to as the blue collar workers were pressured to sell their land to the rich when rough time came.  Rough times like famine, floods, droughts, ect would set them back and it would be close to impossible to earn the land back.
Another part that I found interesting was all about the class and caste. No matter what country you're in there is a class. In India the caste of Varna has it picture of how the wealthy warps money in a leaf so they don't touch the underclass when give me money.
 when it comes to inequalities the Roman Empire slavery made it pretty clear. The thought of domesticating people as property. In my opinion their morals were all messed up. The women are commonly abused raped and pretty much sex slaves. I could sort of understand the concept of power over the women what I can understand is that when you bring a child into this world that is your blood. To know that child is born into slavery and not treated as your family which would be upper class. That is what I think is so messed up about the way people think.

March 29, 20th century crisis of Europe, website reading

 Fascism and the holocaust was harsh stuff in Germany.  Hitler took the role as leader and a hard one. It was not good to be Jewish at the time. Even if you were part Jewish,  you were penalized as being in this race and defaulted as Jewish. Hitler's Plan was to wipe out the Jewish people and people that were "different " such and the mentally challenged/ill, LGBT, handicapped, ect.

Chapter 19 Empires in Collision

Who knew that in the early 1900s there was a drug problem with opium.  The British used it as a powerful trade advantage.  In the 1835-1836  opium made up over 50% of their trading commodity.  It damaged China because so many people were addicted to it that it destroyed so many families. There was also a rise of the New East Asian Power.  Japan created it own empire at the expense of China and Korea.  Japan had 250 years of peace. 1600-1850.  During that time they created a separate  currency, law, military, ect. By 1902 Japan made a name for themselves and known as one of the great powers of the world. During the war with China, Japan prevailed in 1895.  During the war with Russia in 1905 the same happened.  The Japanese military was strong.
