feb 27 Industrial Revolution Chapter 17

I feel that this revolution pros weigh out the cons in so many ways. I really like the idea that people are using their ideas to improve things. When example is invention of the wheel. Now that we are concept is used in more ways than just on a vehicle. The wheel is used in factories such as conveyor belts. But before the first vehicle was designed the steam engine move the ships on the water. To have a self-contained engine power but before the first vehicle was designed the steam engine move the ships on the water. To have a self-contained engine  changes the way the mode of the transportation world. I think it is fascinating and technology and science work together. Just about everything has a ripple effect on something else. The microwave oven for example use to cost over $500 in the 1970's when it was actually invented in 1946 which in those days could cost more than a weeks worth of pay. People in the 60's couldn't afford them and they were difficult and time consuming to make. As the result of the industrial revolution and the factories that make mass amounts everyday. We can but a quality microwave oven for under a days worth of day. The examples are endless.
